Flooded Basement Cleanup in North Atlanta
Many North Atlanta homes have finished basements sitting below grade on red clay. When water gets in, it soaks carpet, drywall and framing quickly. Our team gets it out and dries the space.

Why basements need special care
A flooded basement is not the same job as a wet kitchen floor.
- Below grade walls and concrete hold moisture long after the water is gone
- Carpet, pad and drywall at the bottom of the wall wick water upward
- Stored boxes and furniture hide damp spots where mold starts
- Water may keep coming in until the cause is found: heavy rain, a failed pump or a plumbing line
- Electrical outlets and the panel may be at risk, so power comes first
How we clean up a flooded basement
Make it safe
We check for electrical hazards and ask where the water came from before anyone walks in.
Remove the water
Pumps and extractors take out standing water. We then pull wet carpet, pad and any drywall that cannot be saved.
Dry the structure
Air movers and dehumidifiers run until moisture readings in the walls, slab and framing come back to normal.
Clean and head off mold
We clean and sanitize the space and watch for signs of mold before anything is rebuilt.
Insurance and estimates
Coverage for basement water depends on the cause, and policies differ. Ask your agent about flood and water backup coverage. We document the damage and give you a detailed, itemized estimate.

What our customers say
Have any questions?
What if the basement keeps taking on water?
Fix the cause or the cleanup will not last. Sump pump trouble, grading and plumbing leaks are common causes, and we can point you in the right direction.
Can you save my carpet and drywall?
Sometimes carpet can dry in place if it is clean water and caught early. Drywall that has wicked water up the wall usually has to be cut out. We will show you the readings and explain why.
Do I need to move out while you dry the basement?
Often you can stay upstairs. We will tell you if noise, odor or safety makes it better to stay elsewhere.
